iloveimg.online is an independent image-conversion site. The Site converts uploads between 25+ image formats — the everyday ones (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF) plus the formats that usually require dedicated software: HEIC and HEIF from iPhones, AVIF for modern web optimization, TIFF for print, ICO for browser tabs, EPS and SVG for vector workflows, PSD for Photoshop layers, and most camera-RAW formats.
The Site is browser-based: no software to install, no account required for conversions, no captcha after every upload. We're funded by display advertising (Google AdSense) which keeps the converter free.
What this Site is
- A converter for 25+ image formats, usable in your browser.
- Server-side conversion using ImageMagick, libvips, and format-specific decoders — this is honest: client-side conversion in a browser cannot handle every format we support (HEIC, RAW, PSD, EPS need server-side libraries).
- Files travel over HTTPS, are processed in memory, and become available for download.
- Files are permanently deleted within one hour — sooner if you download. We don't keep copies. We don't analyse content. No human ever views uploads.
- Up to 50 MB per file. Conversions usually complete in 2–5 seconds for files under 5 MB; larger files (RAW, TIFF) can take 10–20 seconds because those formats compress and decompress slowly by nature.
- No watermarks. No quality downgrades.
- Free. Funded by display ads. No paid tier currently.
What this Site is NOT
To set realistic expectations:
- Not a Photoshop / GIMP replacement. We convert formats. We don't do layers, masks, retouching, colour grading, or generative editing. For those, look at GIMP (free, GUI), Photopea (free, browser-based), Affinity Photo (one-time payment), or Adobe Photoshop.
- Not a batch-image-editing platform. If you need to apply the same crop / watermark / colour profile to 200 photos with API access, look at Cloudinary, ImageKit, or a desktop tool like XnConvert.
- Not the right tool for sensitive documents. Any online converter requires uploading the file. If your image contains passports, financial documents, or anything you wouldn't email to a stranger, convert locally instead. ImageMagick (command line) and GIMP (GUI) handle most of what we do, on your own machine.

Who runs iloveimg.online

This is a small operation, not a team of fifty. The advantages: named accountability, fast response to substantive correspondence, editorial consistency. The trade-off: we don't run 24/7 customer-support chat. Substantive email at the four addresses on Contact Us is read and answered within a few business days.
Technical stack
The Site runs on Laravel (PHP framework) with Cloudflare CDN. Image conversion uses standard server-side libraries:
- ImageMagick for most format conversions.
- libvips for high-volume / fast paths where applicable.
- libheif for HEIC / HEIF.
- libavif for AVIF.
- libraw / dcraw for camera-RAW formats.
These are the same libraries used by professional image-processing pipelines (Wikipedia, GIMP, many CMS plugins). We are users of these libraries, not their authors. Per-format implementation notes on Format Catalog.
Funding model — honestly
The Site is supported by Google AdSense (publisher pub-8857722445444177, currently active). Standard display banners. Categorical exclusions configured: no gambling, no adult, no scam-product, no predatory financial, no malware-adjacent. We don't run popunders, interstitials, or fake-button native ads. If you wonder why a converter site needs ads: hosting, bandwidth, image-processing CPU, and storage during the 1-hour file-retention window all cost real money. Ads pay for that without charging users.
What about future paid tiers?
Currently none. The Site is fully free. If a paid tier is introduced (higher file-size limits, batch processing, ad-free experience), it would be transparently disclosed and current free conversion would remain free.
